Bushcraft & Survival Skills Magazine – Issue 73 – Mar/ Apr 2018
Many of readers’ letters show a growing ripple effect amongst our community of sharing ideas. Our articles are inspiring more people to get out on the trail, try their hand at craft activities and continue to learn new skills. We love the positive response to the articles and magazine in general. This edition sees more articles packed full of hints, tips and experience gained from decades of time on the trail and in the outdoors.
On page 8 we have Paul Kirtley’s Buds and Blossom Tree ID for early spring, followed by Ex-SAS Instructor, Lofty Wiseman’s take on the ever changing weather on page 24. We have another gem from Tim Gent on ‘Pitching Your Tent on Difficult Ground’, page 28. There is plenty of news on The Bushcraft Show 2018 to whet your appetite, so book early to make the most of the workshops and activities, page 36. My article this edition is called ‘Putting the spring in your step’ on page 44.
On the craft side we have more great ideas from Ian Nairn’s Bushcraft on a Budget, page 66, and also Ben Abbot with his practical take on items to improve life in the outdoors, page 94. There is also a fantastic piece by Sharpening Whiz, Mark Horden entitled ‘It’s Okay to Have a good Strop!’ – find out why on p56. Finally, I hope you love our ever popular Bushcraft Quiz, book reviews from Chris Eyles and competitions providing some great prizes.
Wherever you start reading through the magazine, we hope that you will thumb through the pages fueling your wild side. We know our magazine gets passed around and hope you enjoy sharing the content with your family and friends.
Enjoy the spring magic and see you on the trail…
